Appendix B. Scripts provided with WebSphere MQ classes for Java Message Service

The following files are provided in the bin directory of your WebSphere MQ JMS installation. These scripts are provided to assist with common tasks that need to be performed while installing or using WebSphere MQ JMS. Table 38 lists the scripts and their uses.

Cleanup.bat Used to run the subscription cleanup utility, described in Manual cleanup.
DefaultConfiguration Used to run the default configuration application on non-Windows systems, as described in JMS Postcard configuration.
formatLog.bat Used to convert binary log files to plain text, described in Logging.
IVTRun.bat
IVTTidy.bat
IVTSetup.bat
Used to run the point-to-point installation verification test program, described in Running the point-to-point IVT.
JMSAdmin.bat Used to run the administration tool, described in Chapter 5, Using the WebSphere MQ JMS administration tool.
JMSAdmin.config Configuration file for the administration tool, described in Configuration.
postcard.bat Used to start the JMS Postcard application, described in JMS Postcard.
PSIVTRun.bat Used to run the Pub/Sub installation verification test program described in The publish/subscribe installation verification test.
PSReportDump.class Used to view broker report messages, described in Handling broker reports.
runjms.bat A utility script to assist with the running of JMS applications, described in Running your own WebSphere MQ JMS programs.
Note:
On UNIX systems, the extension ".bat" is omitted from the filenames.
